Overview

This workshop is intended to prepare individuals and organizations to develop peer-mentoring programs. 通过同伴指导, there is not a significant difference in seniority and the relationship assumes that the mentor and mentee share many of the same characteristics. Being at roughly the same level allows for mentor/mentee to connect in ways that could be difficult within the context of a superior/subordinate relationship. Peer mentoring programs are particularly effective in developing a sense of belonging at an organization which is positively correlated with employee satisfaction and retention.

• Participants will explain the benefits of peer mentoring as well as what characteristics a good peer mentor should possess.
• Participants will describe what a peer mentor is (is not) and what to expect (not expect) out of the relationship.
